Our mainbase for the semester, the Skukuza Science Leadership Initiative (SSLI) Campus; a research station within the expansive Kruger National Park where we spent the majority of the semester, field researching alongside the Big Five (and other tourists).
Kosi Bay and St. Lucia
Part of iSimangaliso Wetland Park where the Mozambique border meets the Indian Ocean; our home for Spring Break and our tropical fish research in an estuary full of hippos, fish traps, and hermit crabs
Cape Town
Home to Table Mountain, the Cape of Good Hope, and bustling city life where proteas, penguins, and plateaus meet along the Atlantic Ocean. Offshore, seals, albatrosses, and anglers chase productive fisheries.
